Streetscape's ENERGY STAR® Program
As part of our commitment to Build Greener, Streetscape made the committment on January 1, 2009 to build every new Streetscape home to be ENERGY STAR® Qualified.
The ENERGY STAR® for New Homes Initiative promotes energy efficiency guidelines that enable new homes to be approximately 30 percent more energy efficient than conventionally built homes.
Streetscape is a licensed ENERGY STAR® builder. We incorporate resource efficient features into your new home. You can take comfort in knowing that your home uses less heating energy, less electricity and less water than other new homes built to conventional standards.
Each ENERGY STAR® Qualified home is inspected and tested by an independent evaluator, who verifies that it meets the required technical specifications. The house then receives a registration number that is held in a national database.
Purchasers of a new ENERGY STAR qualified home are eligible for a $1,000 rebate, as well as additional rebates for qualifying products. View our PDF handout here.
If you are from out of province, you may be familair with other regional initiatives similar to the Energy Star for New Homes program, such as; R-2000, Built Green, Novoclimat, GreenHome, Power Smart for New Homes, GreenHouse and LEED for new homes.
